Gillani Leadership

Gillani Consulting Group is run by Mr. Syed M. Kamal, Chief Executive Officer, with the help of a strong management team. This team is advised by a board of advisors, bringing diverse IT, business, government and social sector experience to the team.

 

Syed M. Kamal, CIO/CEO
Since graduating from Mississippi State University in 1992, Syed has worked in retail management, IT consulting, software development and technology management fields. He has served as founder and CIO/CEO of Gillani Inc. – an Accounting/ERP, and Supply Chain Management software development company since 1997, evaluating, recommending, implementing, supporting enterprise software/services to clients like AT&T, Verizon, Motorola, General Dynamics, Grainger, GE Supply, B&H Photo/Video, Harps Food, Mandell Food and many SME’s. Syed partners with client executive teams to help define/document IT Strategy aligned with business goals, and help execute the strategy objectives through IT solutions, services. He is a frequent speaker at technology conferences and member of IT advisory boards for several organizations.

 

Syed Rehman, Senior Technology Advisor - Web/e-commerce Applications Architect and Developer
Rehman possess more than 18 years’ experience in software, Web-based applications, e-commerce, data analytics/reporting systems assessment, process improvement, architecture, design, development, implementation and support within government, healthcare, education, retail, manufacturing as well as other industries. Rehman has worked with organizations such as; MIC, Inc. as Senior Consultant, Monitronics International, Inc. as Principal Architect, Mannatech International, Inc. as Web Architect, GameStop Inc. as Database Administrator, and most recent Cornell University as Software Engineer. 

 

Irfan Syed, Senior Technology Advisor – Enterprise Architect
Irfan has 20 years’ experience delivering IT solutions, systems integration/architecture planning and process improvement in a broad range of industries, managing and mentoring DBA’s, UNIX admins and MS platform engineers. More than 5 years’ of experience of Oracle database administration (10g, 9i, 8i, and 7.x). Irfan has worked with organizations such as; Minyard Food Stores as DBA/Unix Admin, JCPenny as Systems Engineer II promoted to Sr. Systems Engineer and Infrastructure Architect, AIG as Sr. Solutions Architect.

 

Aurang Zeb Zia, Senior Advisor – Monitoring and Evaluation, Quality Management Systems, Project Management
Aurang Zeb has more than 15 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, project management and quality management on various projects in Pakistan. He developed PMP for USAID funded projects and has expertise in designing M&E systems which were demonstrated while working for ADB/DFID project. Recently, Mr. Zia developed Quality Management System (QMS) for DFID funded education sector project. After attending ToT on Results Based Management (RBM) held in Bangladesh, Mr. Zia developed training manuals in M&E and also imparted trainings to CSOs and Public Sector entities in Pakistan. Mr. Zia holds two master degrees, one form Pakistan in Agricultural Economics and the other in Economics and Social Studies from University of Manchester, England (UK).

 

Qazi Khurram Jilani – Senior Advisor – Monitoring and Evaluations, Impact Assessments, Data Management, Data Quality Assurance
Khurram has over 11 years of experience working as Monitoring, Evaluation and Research professional with international and national non-governmental organizations. He has hands-on experience in research, proposal writing, report writing, impact assessments, baseline surveys, knowledge management and monitoring and evaluation of development projects/ programs financed by international (USAID, DFID, CIDA, NORAD, World Bank) and national (PPAF, RSPN, Government of Pakistan) organizations and donors. His IT specialties include Integrated Management Information Systems, Data Management and Data Quality Assurance. Khurram holds a Masters’ Degree in Economics from the University of Arid Agriculture, Pakistan.
